This natural, untreated green beryl, weighing 1.10 ct, was cut from a 12.88 ct rough crystal. It was cut from the same original crystal as a smaller, 0.41 ct round-cut sister stone.

Depending on the angle of light and the viewing angle, the stone displays a charming pleochroism that shifts primarily between fresh mint green and a delicate yellow. This subtle play of colors gives the beryl a vibrant, ever-changing, yet elegantly natural appearance.

The green beryl is eye-clean. Its clear transparency allows light to flow effectively through the crystal, beautifully highlighting the various color nuances. As a result, the stone takes on an open, bright appearance and a remarkably vibrant brilliance.

Why is the yield so low?
When cutting a gemstone, the focus is not on achieving the highest possible final weight, but on achieving the best possible combination of color, clarity, brilliance, and proportions. A large portion of the original crystal is intentionally removed to bring out the gemstone’s natural beauty to the fullest.
