From an exceptional rough crystal weighing 20.14 ct, two very special aquamarines were crafted after careful planning - including this impressive gemstone weighing 5.52 ct. Each section of the original crystal was individually assessed to bring out its color, clarity, and brilliance to the fullest.

This natural, untreated aquamarine is distinguished by its exceptionally deep, clear blue hue, its very few natural inclusions, and its impressive transparency. The excellently executed oval cut harmoniously highlights the stone’s natural beauty and lends it a vibrant, elegant brilliance.

Although both gemstones were cut from the same rough crystal, each has its own unique character. While another portion of the crystal was cut into an elegant pear shape - AQ01/2, this larger aquamarine makes a striking impression thanks to its balanced proportions and impressive presence.

This gemstone exemplifies the journey of an extraordinary crystal - from its formation deep within the Earth, through the careful selection of the raw material, to an aquamarine whose beauty has been preserved and enhanced by precise craftsmanship. Today, it is one of the most exceptional pieces in the Bennad Collection.

This exceptional raw aquamarine crystal was cut into:

• Oval Aquamarine, AQ01/1: 5.52 ct
• Pear-Shaped Aquamarine, AQ01/2: 1.65 ct
• Total Yield: 7.17 ct - 35.6% of the rough weight

Why is the yield so low?
When cutting a gemstone, the focus is not on achieving the highest possible final weight, but on achieving the best possible combination of color, clarity, brilliance, and proportions. A large portion of the original crystal is intentionally removed to bring out the gemstone’s natural beauty to the fullest.
