Cut shape: oval

This natural, untreated aquamarine, weighing 3.18 ct, was cut from an exceptional rough crystal weighing 16.10 ct, from which a total of two fine aquamarines were produced. Even before the first cut was made, every section of the crystal was carefully analyzed to bring out its natural characteristics to the fullest.

Its light, greenish-blue hue gives this gemstone a fresh, elegant radiance, which is further enhanced by its eye-clean transparency. The excellently executed oval cut ensures harmonious light reflection and makes the stone sparkle vividly with every movement.

Another aquamarine with an elegant pear cut - AQ06/2 - was also crafted from the same rough crystal. Both gemstones are linked by their shared origin, yet each possesses its own unique character due to the individual orientation of its cut and the natural properties of the crystal.

This aquamarine exemplifies the journey from a carefully selected rough crystal to a finished gemstone. Thanks to extensive experience and meticulous craftsmanship, its natural beauty was preserved, resulting in a timelessly elegant aquamarine that is now part of the Bennad Collection.

Origin of this Gemstone: Raw crystal: 16.10 ct, resulting in:

Oval aquamarine, AQ06/1 - 3.18 ct
Pear-shaped aquamarine, AQ06/2 - 1.25 ct
• Total yield: 4.43 ct - 27.5% of the raw weight

Why is the yield so low?
When cutting a gemstone, the focus is not on achieving the highest possible final weight, but on achieving the best possible combination of color, clarity, brilliance, and proportions. A large portion of the original crystal is intentionally removed to bring out the gemstone’s natural beauty to the fullest.

(*)To the best of our knowledge and according to information from our local partners, the gemstone is untreated.

For an additional fee, we'd be happy to arrange for a certificate from an independent gemological institute to be issued for this gemstone.

Images may vary depending on monitor settings. The videos of the stone were recorded without filters or color correction.

The true beauty of a gemstone is only revealed when you hold it in your hand. With every slight movement, the angle of the light, the reflections, and the play of colors change, giving each stone its own unique vibrancy.

Interesting Facts About Aquamarine

Aquamarine is the blue to bluish-green variety of the mineral beryl. Its color spectrum ranges from a very delicate, pale blue to intense, deep blue hues. Aquamarines with a rich, pure blue color are often referred to in the trade as “Santa Maria aquamarines” and are among the most sought-after examples of this gemstone.

Natural inclusions are characteristic features of a natural gemstone. They can provide clues about its natural origin and help distinguish it from synthetic or imitation materials. At the same time, clarity - along with color, cut, and carat weight - is one of the key factors that determine a gemstone’s quality and value.

High-quality aquamarines also attract the attention of collectors and buyers who view rare colored gemstones as long-term assets. Stones with an intense blue color, high transparency, very good clarity, and an excellent cut are in particularly high demand. Exceptional specimens of this quality are available in limited quantities and have attracted increasing market attention in recent years. However, future performance cannot be predicted and always depends on quality, rarity, and demand.
