Aquamarine

This natural, untreated aquamarine, weighing 1.65 ct, was cut from the same exceptional rough crystal as AQ01-1, which weighed 20.14 ct.

Its clear, luminous blue is combined with exceptionally beautiful transparency. Inside, there are only very slight natural inclusions that are barely visible to the naked eye and do not detract from the stone’s open, clear appearance.

Its brilliance is particularly striking. The pear cut creates intense, bright reflections that travel through the stone, causing the blue to sparkle anew again and again. Depending on the viewing angle, the color appears slightly lighter or deeper, yet always remains fresh and vibrant.

The pear cut accentuates this effect particularly beautifully: it gives the aquamarine an elegant silhouette and concentrates the light in such a way that transparency, color, and reflections come together in a very harmonious blend.

Together with AQ01-1, this stone demonstrates how differently two sections of the same rough crystal can reveal their own distinct character. While the larger sister stone impresses with its exceptional depth of color and presence, this aquamarine stands out for its clarity, lightness, and extraordinary brilliance.

• Pear-Shaped Aquamarine, AQ01/2: 1.65 ct
• Total Yield: 7.17 ct - 35.6% of the rough weight

Why is the yield so low?
When cutting a gemstone, the focus is not on achieving the highest possible final weight, but on achieving the best possible combination of color, clarity, brilliance, and proportions. A large portion of the original crystal is intentionally removed to bring out the gemstone’s natural beauty to the fullest.
