Tourmaline

This natural, untreated pink tourmaline, weighing 0.88 ct, was carved from an exceptionally large 38.82 ct raw watermelon tourmaline crystal. It was cut from the same original crystal as three other watermelon tourmalines. Its hue is a warm, soft pink that lends the stone a delicate and elegant appearance.

Its play of color is subtle and understated, yet it takes on new vibrancy with every movement. Light reflections run through the stone, lending it a surprisingly beautiful brilliance despite its visible natural growth characteristics.

Inside, natural growth structures and fine inclusions are visible, revealing its natural origin. Rather than diminishing the stone’s luminosity, they lend it depth and a unique, unmistakable appearance.

The pear cut accentuates the soft color effect and brings out the shifting reflections particularly beautifully.

Particularly interesting is its connection to the other stones from the same 38.82-carat watermelon tourmaline rough crystal. Alongside this 0.88 ct pink tourmaline in a pear cut, three “watermelon” sister stones were created: a 1.39 ct octagon cut, a 0.73 ct trillion cut, and a 1.34 ct baguette cut. Although all four stones share the same origin, each one exhibits its own unique color character and individual internal structure.

The Tourmaline originates from southern Africa. The rough stone was sourced for us directly from the source through our partners, inspected by us, and then expertly cut.
