This exceptionally distinctive, natural, and untreated watermelon tourmaline, weighing 1.52 ct, was carved from a 32.20 ct rough crystal. Along with two other sister stones, it was cut from the same original crystal. Its special appeal lies in the multi-layered interplay of green and pink, separated by a light, almost white band, as well as an additional bold olive-green stripe that gives the stone an unusually striking pattern.

The color zoning creates a distinctly three-dimensional effect. Areas of varying transparency allow the eye to wander deep into the crystal, while pink, green, white, and the intense olive green seem to interact with one another across multiple planes. Depending on how the light falls, the appearance constantly changes, giving the tourmaline a fascinating depth and three-dimensional effect.
