This exceptionally elegant, natural, and untreated tourmaline, weighing 0.71 ct, was crafted from a 2.61 ct rough crystal. Its extraordinary play of color ranges from warm orange to delicate pink, giving it a very balanced, refined character.
Depending on the angle of the light and the viewing angle, the color impression changes slightly: At times, the warm orange hues stand out more prominently; at other times, the stone appears softer and more pinkish. The overall effect is an elegant shade with a slight hint of dusty pink, featuring warm depth and a distinctly harmonious radiance.
There is only one barely visible natural growth feature at the edge. When viewed under normal conditions, it is practically negligible and does not detract from either the gemstone’s clear overall appearance or its beautiful brilliance. Rather, it subtly attests to its natural origin.
The excellently executed baguette cut emphasizes the tourmaline’s clean, linear shape. Its precise geometry lends the stone a serene, almost architectural elegance, while the faceting brings out the warm interplay of colors - ranging from orange to pink - and the vibrant play of light to particular effect.
From its documented origin as a 2.61-carat rough crystal to the finished gemstone, this tourmaline exemplifies meticulous cutting planning, precise craftsmanship, and the unadulterated beauty of a naturally colored gemstone. Its subtle play of colors between orange and pink, its elegant overall dusky pink appearance, its beautiful brilliance, and its barely visible growth feature make it a particularly stylish piece from the Bennad Collection.
The pink Tourmaline originates from southern Africa. The rough stone was sourced for us directly from the source through our partners, inspected by us, and then expertly cut.
(*)To the best of our knowledge and according to information from our local partners, the gemstone is untreated.
For an additional fee, we’d be happy to arrange for a certificate from an independent gemological institute to be issued for this gemstone.
Images may vary depending on monitor settings. The videos of the stone were recorded without filters or color correction.
The true beauty of a gemstone is only revealed when you hold it in your hand. With every slight movement, the angle of the light, the reflections, and the play of colors change, giving each stone its own unique vibrancy.
Interesting Facts About Pink Tourmaline
Pink to fuchsia-colored tourmaline belongs to the diverse mineral group of tourmalines. Its color spectrum ranges from delicate rosé and peach tones through bright pink to bold, intense reddish-pink shades. Many stones display varying intensities of color depending on the angle of light and the direction from which they are viewed. Transparent tourmalines with a vibrant, as uniform as possible pink or rose color, high brilliance, and an excellent cut are particularly sought after.
Natural inclusions are characteristic features of a natural gemstone. They can provide clues about its natural origin and help distinguish it from synthetic or imitation materials. At the same time, clarity - along with color, cut, and carat weight - is one of the key factors that determine a gemstone’s quality and value.
High-quality rose- and pink-colored tourmalines attract the attention of collectors, gemstone enthusiasts, and buyers who view rare colored gemstones as long-term assets. Larger, transparent stones with intense, attractive color, very good clarity, and a precise cut that optimally showcases their color and brilliance are in particularly high demand. Exceptional specimens that combine these characteristics are available in limited quantities and may occupy a special position in the market due to their quality, size, and rarity. However, future value appreciation cannot be predicted and always depends on color, clarity, cut, carat weight, rarity, and demand.
