Depending on the angle of light and the viewing angle, the crystal displays varying intensities ranging from a delicate, cool ice blue to a surprisingly deep, glass-like blue. Why is the yield so low?
When cutting a gemstone, the focus is not on achieving the highest possible final weight, but on achieving the best possible combination of color, clarity, brilliance, and proportions. A large portion of the original crystal is intentionally removed to bring out the gemstone’s natural beauty to the fullest.
