This exceptionally beautiful, natural, and untreated orange garnet, weighing 2.95 ct, was crafted from a rough crystal weighing 8.17 ct. Its color displays a vibrant spectrum ranging from yellow-orange to bright orange and deeper dark-orange hues, giving the stone a warm, expressive, and at the same time elegant appearance.
The shifting interplay of these orange tones is particularly captivating. Depending on how the light falls, lighter, almost golden-yellow areas stand out more prominently, while other sections appear in a richer, darker orange. As a result, the color does not appear flat, but possesses a beautiful sense of depth and a lively inner movement.
The garnet displays visible natural growth features, including small, bubble-like structures inside the crystal. They are clearly part of the stone’s unique appearance and reflect its natural formation. At the same time, sufficient transparency is preserved so that the color and play of light are clearly showcased.
Its radiant brilliance is also very beautiful. Bright reflections run through the stone and cause the vivid orange areas, in particular, to sparkle anew with every movement. The interplay of warm color gradation and vibrant play of light gives the garnet a remarkably intense, almost glowing presence.
The precisely executed oval cut gives the 2.95-ct stone harmonious proportions and a classic, elegant silhouette. The soft shape beautifully accentuates the natural color gradient and allows the various shades of yellow, orange, and dark orange to unfold to their fullest.
It is precisely the combination of its impressive size, multi-layered orange hue, natural internal structure, and beautiful brilliance that makes this garnet so appealing. Its character lies not in complete uniformity, but in the lively interplay of color, light, and natural growth features - a warm, expressive stone with a very distinctive presence.
The Garnet originates from southern Africa. The rough stone was sourced for us directly from the source through our partners, inspected by us, and then expertly cut.
(*)To the best of our knowledge and according to information from our local partners, the gemstone is untreated.
For an additional fee, we’d be happy to arrange for a certificate from an independent gemological institute to be issued for this gemstone.
Images may vary depending on monitor settings. The videos of the stone were recorded without filters or color correction.
The true beauty of a gemstone is only revealed when you hold it in your hand. With every slight movement, the angle of the light, the reflections, and the play of colors change, giving each stone its own unique vibrancy.
Interesting Facts About Garnet
Garnet refers to a group of closely related minerals that occur as gemstones in an exceptionally wide variety of colors. The spectrum ranges from deep red and purple through orange and yellow to green. Orange and tangerine-colored garnets are particularly attractive; their warm tones can range from golden orange to vibrant tangerine orange to intense orange-red. These shades are particularly associated with spessartine garnets and, when highly transparent, can produce a strikingly luminous, almost glowing effect.
Natural inclusions and growth features are characteristic traits of a natural gemstone. They can provide clues about its natural origin and help distinguish it from synthetic or imitation materials. At the same time, clarity - along with color, cut, and carat weight - is one of the key factors that determine the quality and value of a garnet.
Transparent garnets with intense, uniform color and vibrant brilliance are particularly prized. Among orange stones, clear, rich mandarin and orange hues are especially sought after. Larger specimens with high transparency and intense color saturation are relatively rare and are particularly sought after by collectors and enthusiasts of exceptional colored gemstones. Quality and value depend primarily on color, transparency, clarity, cut, variety, and carat weight; however, future value appreciation cannot be predicted and is always determined by quality, rarity, and demand.
