Aquamarine

With its fresh, light turquoise hue, exceptionally vibrant brilliance, and numerous sparkling reflections, this natural, untreated 0.41 ct aquamarine possesses a particularly open, cheerful, and clear radiance.

Carved from a 14.92 ct rough crystal, this small round stone appears transparent, light, and almost glass-like. When viewed under normal conditions, the stone appears virtually eye-clean. Due to its small size, its very fine natural features are difficult to discern and take a back seat in the overall appearance.

Its intense play of light is particularly beautiful. The round cut creates numerous bright reflections that travel through the stone as it moves, shimmering in light turquoise, blue, and a delicate greenish-blue. This makes the aquamarine appear much more striking than its light weight would initially suggest.

The same rough crystal was also used to create an oval-cut stone weighing 0.52 ct and a pear-cut stone weighing 0.66 ct. These three sister stones not only share the same origin but also this exceptionally beautiful light turquoise color palette with its open, light, and cheerful appearance.

Why is the yield so low?
When cutting a gemstone, the focus is not on achieving the highest possible final weight, but on achieving the best possible combination of color, clarity, brilliance, and proportions. A large portion of the original crystal is intentionally removed to bring out the gemstone’s natural beauty to the fullest.

The aquamarine comes from southern Africa. The rough stone was sourced for us directly from the source by our partners, inspected by us, and then expertly cut.
