This exceptionally beautiful, natural, and untreated tourmaline, weighing 0.76 ct, was crafted from a 3.60 ct rough crystal. Its lagoon-like color effect makes it a particularly charming stone: Depending on the angle of the light and the direction from which it is viewed, it displays a fascinating interplay of turquoise blue and fresh green.
Its exceptionally strong brilliance is particularly impressive. The precise faceting allows light to travel intensely through the crystal, creating numerous bright reflections that make the stone seem to glow almost from within. At the same time, the color effect changes with every movement - sometimes the cool turquoise blue stands out more, other times the clear green. This creates a vibrant, almost water-like radiance that perfectly complements its lagoon-like character.
The crystal contains visible natural growth features. They are part of the stone’s unique history and lend it an unmistakable character. Despite their visibility, the stone retains its strong brilliance, and the intense play of colors between blue and green remains clearly in the foreground.
The superbly executed baguette cut emphasizes the gemstone’s clean, linear geometry. Its precise facets lend it an elegant, almost architectural design while also showcasing its extraordinary brilliance and shifting play of colors to great effect.
From its documented origins in a 3.60-carat rough crystal to the finished gemstone, this tourmaline exemplifies meticulous cutting planning, masterful craftsmanship, and the authentic individuality of a natural colored gemstone. Its fascinating play of colors - ranging from turquoise blue to green - its exceptionally vivid brilliance, and its natural growth characteristics make it a particularly distinctive and unique piece in the Bennad Collection.

(*)To the best of our knowledge and according to information from our local partners, the gemstone is untreated.
For an additional fee, we’d be happy to arrange for a certificate from an independent gemological institute to be issued for this gemstone.
Images may vary depending on monitor settings. The videos of the stone were recorded without filters or color correction.
The true beauty of a gemstone is only revealed when you hold it in your hand. With every slight movement, the angle of the light, the reflections, and the play of colors change, giving each stone its own unique vibrancy.
Interesting Facts About Lagoon Tourmaline
Lagoon tourmalines captivate with their vibrant play of colors between blue and green, reminiscent of the clear hues of tropical lagoons. Their color spectrum ranges from light aqua blue and turquoise to intense teal and luminous blue-green. Stones with a clear, open color, high transparency, and pronounced luminosity are particularly prized.
The term “Lagoon” is a trade name for blue-green or green-blue tourmalines and primarily describes their characteristic color appearance. Depending on the angle of the light, individual shades may stand out more prominently, giving the gemstone a vibrant, ever-changing appearance. A precise cut further accentuates this play of color and impressively highlights the tourmaline’s natural brilliance.
With their fresh, elegant color, Lagoon tourmalines are among the most striking members of the tourmaline family and are ideal for both exclusive jewelry and discerning gemstone collections.
