These two untreated green tourmalines, with a combined weight of 1.19 ct, were formed from a natural rough crystal. Their base color is a deep, rich dark green that gives the stones a serene yet mysterious aura.

When moved, individual intense green flashes of light can be seen traveling through the stones and repeatedly emerging from their dark depths. This creates a captivating interplay between subdued, almost black green areas and sudden bursts of color.

To the naked eye, both stones appear very clean; any natural growth features are barely noticeable against the dark color. As a result, the overall impression remains calm and clear.

The geometric cut accentuates the depth of the color and lends the shifting reflections a precise, modern effect. A small pair of tourmalines full of character, with a dark green base color, clear highlights, and a delicate, mysterious presence.

The Green Tourmaline originates from southern Africa. The rough stone was sourced for us directly from the source through our partners, inspected by us, and then expertly cut.

(*)To the best of our knowledge and according to information from our local partners, the gemstone is untreated.

For an additional fee, we’d be happy to arrange for a certificate from an independent gemological institute to be issued for this gemstone.

Images may vary depending on monitor settings. The videos of the stone were recorded without filters or color correction.

The true beauty of a gemstone is only revealed when you hold it in your hand. With every slight movement, the angle of the light, the reflections, and the play of colors change, giving each stone its own unique vibrancy.

Interesting Facts About Green Tourmaline or Verdelith

Green tourmaline, often referred to in the trade as verdelite, belongs to the diverse mineral group of tourmalines. Its color spectrum ranges from delicate yellowish-green and fresh leaf-green tones to vibrant forest green and deep, slightly bluish-green shades. Many green tourmalines exhibit pronounced pleochroism and can display varying color intensities depending on the viewing angle. Transparent stones with a vibrant, as uniform as possible green color, high brilliance, and an excellent cut are particularly sought after.

Natural inclusions are characteristic features of a natural gemstone. They can provide clues about its natural origin and help distinguish it from synthetic or imitation materials. At the same time, clarity - along with color, cut, and carat weight - is one of the key factors that determine a gemstone’s quality and value.

High-quality green tourmalines attract the attention of collectors, gemstone enthusiasts, and buyers who view rare colored gemstones as long-term assets. Larger, transparent stones with intense, attractive color, very good clarity, and a precise cut that optimally showcases their hue and brilliance are in particularly high demand. Exceptional specimens that combine these characteristics are available in limited quantities and may occupy a special position in the market due to their quality, size, and rarity. However, future value appreciation cannot be predicted and always depends on color, clarity, cut, carat weight, rarity, and demand.
