This small but exceptionally charming natural and untreated tourmaline, weighing 0.18 ct, was crafted from a 8.50 ct rough crystal. Its particular appeal lies in its unusual color effect, which ranges from a warm orange-pink to an intense pink.

Depending on the angle of the light and the viewer’s perspective, the stone appears at times slightly warmer and orange-pink, and at other times clearer and a more vibrant pink. It is precisely this subtle interplay between warm and cooler shades of pink that gives it a very lively and unique character.

The tourmaline is eye-clean. Its clear transparency enhances the intense color effect and produces a beautiful brilliance. Despite its light weight, the stone produces numerous bright reflections when moved, giving it a remarkably fresh and striking appearance.

The superbly executed teardrop cut combines a softly rounded base with an elegantly tapering tip. The precise faceting effectively highlights both the high brilliance and the distinctive play of colors ranging from orange-pink to pink, giving the small stone an elegant, finely proportioned appearance.

From its documented origin as an 8.50-carat rough crystal to the finished gemstone, this tourmaline exemplifies meticulous cutting planning, precise craftsmanship, and the unadulterated beauty of a naturally colored gemstone. Its unusual play of colors ranging from orange-pink to pink, its eye-clean clarity, and its vibrant brilliance make it a small but exceptionally distinctive piece in the Bennad Collection.

The pink Tourmaline originates from southern Africa. The rough stone was sourced for us directly from the source through our partners, inspected by us, and then expertly cut.

(*)To the best of our knowledge and according to information from our local partners, the gemstone is untreated.

For an additional fee, we’d be happy to arrange for a certificate from an independent gemological institute to be issued for this gemstone.

Images may vary depending on monitor settings. The videos of the stone were recorded without filters or color correction.

The true beauty of a gemstone is only revealed when you hold it in your hand. With every slight movement, the angle of the light, the reflections, and the play of colors change, giving each stone its own unique vibrancy.

Interesting Facts About Pink Tourmaline

Pink to fuchsia-colored tourmaline belongs to the diverse mineral group of tourmalines. Its color spectrum ranges from delicate rosé and peach tones through bright pink to bold, intense reddish-pink shades. Many stones display varying intensities of color depending on the angle of light and the direction from which they are viewed. Transparent tourmalines with a vibrant, as uniform as possible pink or rose color, high brilliance, and an excellent cut are particularly sought after.

Natural inclusions are characteristic features of a natural gemstone. They can provide clues about its natural origin and help distinguish it from synthetic or imitation materials. At the same time, clarity - along with color, cut, and carat weight - is one of the key factors that determine a gemstone’s quality and value.

High-quality rose- and pink-colored tourmalines attract the attention of collectors, gemstone enthusiasts, and buyers who view rare colored gemstones as long-term assets. Larger, transparent stones with intense, attractive color, very good clarity, and a precise cut that optimally showcases their color and brilliance are in particularly high demand. Exceptional specimens that combine these characteristics are available in limited quantities and may occupy a special position in the market due to their quality, size, and rarity. However, future value appreciation cannot be predicted and always depends on color, clarity, cut, carat weight, rarity, and demand.
