Iolite

This natural, untreated iolite, weighing 2.56 ct, was cut from a rough crystal weighing 8.28 ct. It displays a particularly beautiful, deep violet-blue color interspersed with lighter lilac reflections. Thanks to its impressive size, the stone has a strong presence without losing any of its elegance.

The iolite is eye-clean and very beautifully transparent. This allows its intense violet-blue color to unfold with exceptional clarity. Depending on the angle of the light, brighter purple reflections emerge, lending the deep base tone additional vibrancy and making the stone appear slightly different each time.

Its brilliance is particularly striking. Light is vividly captured and reflected by the precisely cut facets, creating constant flashes of light within the rich violet-blue hue. The high transparency enhances the impression of depth and makes the color seem to glow from within.

The excellently executed cushion cut combines softly rounded contours with harmonious proportions and a generous surface area. This shape is particularly striking in a stone of this size and gives the intense violet-blue color plenty of room to unfold its full effect.
