This natural, untreated aquamarine, weighing 1.25 ct, was cut from the same 16.10 ct rough crystal as AQ06-1.
Its delicate shade, ranging from light turquoise to greenish-blue, gives it a fresh, clear, and almost weightless appearance. The stone’s very high transparency makes it appear open and almost glass-like, beautifully highlighting its delicate color.
Its brilliance is particularly impressive. The pear cut creates numerous bright reflections that make the stone sparkle vividly with every movement. Depending on the viewing angle, the turquoise appears slightly cooler and bluer or reveals a soft greenish sheen.
Inside, there are only very slight natural features that barely affect the stone’s clear appearance. It is precisely the interplay of transparency, light color, and intense play of light that gives this aquamarine its special lightness.
The pear cut accentuates this effect with an elegant, balanced silhouette and allows light to dance vividly across the entire shape.
Together with AQ06-1, this stone reveals another side of the same rough crystal: slightly smaller and more delicate in appearance, but just as clear, luminous, and exceptionally brilliant.
A beautiful aquamarine with a delicate light turquoise hue, high transparency, and intense brilliance - light, elegant, and full of light.
Origin of this Gemstone: Raw crystal: 16.10 ct, resulting in:
• Oval aquamarine, AQ06/1 - 3.18 ct
• Pear-shaped aquamarine, AQ06/2 - 1.25 ct
• Total yield: 4.43 ct - 27.5% of the raw weight
Why is the yield so low?
When cutting a gemstone, the focus is not on achieving the highest possible final weight, but on achieving the best possible combination of color, clarity, brilliance, and proportions. A large portion of the original crystal is intentionally removed to bring out the gemstone’s natural beauty to the fullest.
(*)To the best of our knowledge and according to information from our local partners, the gemstone is untreated.
For an additional fee, we'd be happy to arrange for a certificate from an independent gemological institute to be issued for this gemstone.
Images may vary depending on monitor settings. The videos of the stone were recorded without filters or color correction.
The true beauty of a gemstone is only revealed when you hold it in your hand. With every slight movement, the angle of the light, the reflections, and the play of colors change, giving each stone its own unique vibrancy.
Interesting Facts About Aquamarine
Aquamarine is the blue to bluish-green variety of the mineral beryl. Its color spectrum ranges from a very delicate, pale blue to intense, deep blue hues. Aquamarines with a rich, pure blue color are often referred to in the trade as “Santa Maria aquamarines” and are among the most sought-after examples of this gemstone.
Natural inclusions are characteristic features of a natural gemstone. They can provide clues about its natural origin and help distinguish it from synthetic or imitation materials. At the same time, clarity - along with color, cut, and carat weight - is one of the key factors that determine a gemstone’s quality and value.
High-quality aquamarines also attract the attention of collectors and buyers who view rare colored gemstones as long-term assets. Stones with an intense blue color, high transparency, very good clarity, and an excellent cut are in particularly high demand. Exceptional specimens of this quality are available in limited quantities and have attracted increasing market attention in recent years. However, future performance cannot be predicted and always depends on quality, rarity, and demand.
