From an exceptional rough crystal weighing 20.14 ct, two natural and untreated aquamarines were crafted - including this 5.52 ct oval-cut stone, which stands out in our collection for its particularly intense blue color.

Its shade of blue is among the most vivid of our aquamarines. Depending on the angle of the light, it appears clear and luminous to a deep aqua blue, giving the stone an unusually strong presence.

Natural inclusions are visible inside the stone. They remain part of the crystal’s natural structure, while the stone’s excellent transparency and vibrant reflections still lend it depth and a striking play of light.

The generous oval cut showcases the color across a broad surface and allows bright reflections to dance through the stone whenever it moves. It is precisely this interplay of intense color, transparency, and natural internal patterns that defines its unique character.

From the same rough crystal, another teardrop-cut aquamarine - AQ01/2 - was created. Both stones share the same origin but reveal very different expressions of the original crystal.

An exceptionally vivid aquamarine weighing 5.52 ct - characterized by an intense blue, natural depth, and a presence that makes it one of the most remarkable aquamarines in the Bennad Collection.

Origin of this Gemstone: Raw Crystal: 20.14 ct

This exceptional raw aquamarine crystal was cut into:

• Oval Aquamarine, AQ01/1: 5.52 ct
• Pear-Shaped Aquamarine, AQ01/2: 1.65 ct
• Total Yield: 7.17 ct - 35.6% of the rough weight

Why is the yield so low?
When cutting a gemstone, the focus is not on achieving the highest possible final weight, but on achieving the best possible combination of color, clarity, brilliance, and proportions. A large portion of the original crystal is intentionally removed to bring out the gemstone’s natural beauty to the fullest.

(*)To the best of our knowledge and according to information from our local partners, the gemstone is untreated.

For an additional fee, we'd be happy to arrange for a certificate from an independent gemological institute to be issued for this gemstone.

Images may vary depending on monitor settings. The videos of the stone were recorded without filters or color correction.

The true beauty of a gemstone is only revealed when you hold it in your hand. With every slight movement, the angle of the light, the reflections, and the play of colors change, giving each stone its own unique vibrancy.

Interesting Facts About Aquamarine

Aquamarine is the blue to bluish-green variety of the mineral beryl. Its color spectrum ranges from a very delicate, pale blue to intense, deep blue hues. Aquamarines with a rich, pure blue color are often referred to in the trade as “Santa Maria aquamarines” and are among the most sought-after examples of this gemstone.

Natural inclusions are characteristic features of a natural gemstone. They can provide clues about its natural origin and help distinguish it from synthetic or imitation materials. At the same time, clarity - along with color, cut, and carat weight - is one of the key factors that determine a gemstone’s quality and value.

High-quality aquamarines also attract the attention of collectors and buyers who view rare colored gemstones as long-term assets. Stones with an intense blue color, high transparency, very good clarity, and an excellent cut are in particularly high demand. Exceptional specimens of this quality are available in limited quantities and have attracted increasing market attention in recent years. However, future performance cannot be predicted and always depends on quality, rarity, and demand.
