Iolite

This natural, untreated iolite, weighing 1.55 ct, was cut from the same 10.09 ct rough crystal. Together with its two sister stones weighing 1.35 ct and 0.27 ct - also oval-cut - it preserves the characteristic color palette of the original crystal, with its deep violet-blue hue and lighter lilac reflections.

Its high transparency is particularly beautiful. It allows the rich violet-blue hue to appear open and three-dimensional, enabling light to penetrate deep into the stone. When moved, brighter violet and lilac reflections repeatedly emerge, creating a striking contrast to the rich base color.

Natural inclusions are visible inside. They are part of this iolite’s unique appearance and are clearly visible due to its good transparency. At the same time, sufficient clarity is preserved so that color, depth, and the play of light can unfold to their fullest effect. It is precisely this interplay between transparent areas and natural internal structures that lends the stone additional individuality.

The superbly executed oval cut gives the 1.55-ct iolite a harmonious and generous appearance. Its soft lines complement the intense violet-blue color, while the precise faceting repeatedly brings out lighter purple reflections. Thanks to its slightly higher weight, this stone also has a particularly beautiful visual presence.

Among the three sister stones, this iolite has a character all its own: Its beautiful transparency and visible natural inclusions make its inner beauty stand out even more, while the rich violet-blue color clearly highlights its connection to the other two stones.
